ThePalinuro Association is much more than a volunteer organization: it is a living community, founded by patients for patients, which strives every day to give voice, dignity and concrete support to those fighting urological oncological diseases, especially bladder cancer.
Founded by people who have experienced the disease firsthand, the association aims to be a human, informative and practical reference point to face the diagnostic, therapeutic and post-therapeutic path with greater awareness and strength.

What the Palinuro Association does
Information and Awareness

Protecting Rights

Events, Conferences and Assemblies
Periodically, informative events, medical-scientific conferences and get-togethers are organized to strengthen the network among patients, physicians and family members.

Julian's story
Giuliano, a 69-year-old entrepreneur, received in October 2022 a diagnosis of infiltrating urothelial carcinoma of the bladder, already advanced and with muscle complications. Despite continuous monitoring, the tumor had not been detected in time.
After the initial shock and a period of bewilderment, he relies on thePalinuro Association, which supports him and helps guide him toward more effective treatments. He starts with chemotherapy, but the tumor grows and spreads, making it inoperable. He then switches toimmunotherapy, which surprisingly yields positive results: the carcinoma shrinks until it almost disappears.
Julian decided to quit his job to devote himself to his health and rediscovered the value of affection, time and simple living. Today he continues treatment and checkups, but he feels "reborn" and shares his experience to give hope to those facing similar situations.
